THE DTA PATHWAY
At Dellavedova Tennis Academy, we don't just run random classes—we provide a clear, structured pathway for every player. From the first time you hold a racquet to training for the pro tour.

The DTA 2:8 Advantage
We are allergic to “dead time” on court. While most clubs pack up to 8 players per coach, all of our DTA Pathway programs (Hot Shots & Squads) operate strictly on a 2:8 coach-to-player ratio when fully booked. That means two dedicated coaches on the court, more balls hit, faster development, and premium attention for every single player.
The Foundations (Hot Shots)
Blue Stage
Beginners & toddlers (Ages 3–5)
The perfect introduction to the sport. Developing fundamental motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and a love for the game in a highly engaging, play-based environment.
Red Stage
Early primary school (Ages 5–8)
Played with 25% compression balls. Players learn the basics of rallying, scoring, and court movement, ensuring early success and confidence.
Orange Stage
Developing juniors (Ages 8–10)
Stepping up to 50% compression balls. Proper grip, swing mechanics, and the beginnings of tactical court positioning.
Green Stage
Advanced juniors (Ages 9–12+)
The final step before standard yellow balls. Played on a full court with 75% compression balls. Players refine their full-swing mechanics and begin executing real match-play strategies.

The Development Squads
Yellow Group
The Bridge Program
The critical transition from Green Hot Shots to full-compression yellow balls. Handling the extra bounce and pace, adjusting footwork, and generating heavier racquet-head speed.
Development Squad
Entry-Level Squad
For players ready for a team environment. Consistency, shot selection, and developing a reliable serve to prepare for local weekend competition.
Challenger Squad
Mid-Tier Squad
Ramping up the intensity. Complex, multi-ball feeding drills with heavy focus on point construction, aggressive baseline movement, and defensive resilience.
Tour Squad
High-Level Competitors
The final stepping stone before the Academy. Demands a high level of fitness and technical proficiency. Tournament preparation, attacking weaknesses, and high-pressure sparring.
